Cosmic Cave: Project Idea

Cosmic Cave: Project Idea

1. What is the problem this project or idea would aim to solve?

When offered a religious alternative will followers renounce their current religious faith for a chance at a safe prosperous life? For the majority the answer would be no. Faith is stronger than a desire for life because most religious beliefs offer a better place in the afterlife than the perceived suffering that exists on earth. Religion's function is to explain the purpose for existence and all religions are dependent on faith-based truths to guide its followers. Most contemporary belief systems have no positive end game or reset button and resort to physical and emotional persuasion to force cooperation. Finally, not all religious truths can be true subsequently; some religious truths must be false.

2. What is the idea / opportunity to solve it?

Religion relies on generational conditioning of the follow's cultural survival method to maintain its member's subservience. The idea is to identify religious "false" truths that enable individuals to terrorize society, perpetuate poverty, and inflict senseless death and to demonstrate how many of today's major religious traditions no longer accurately address or protect humanity's spiritual purpose. To demonstrate that current religious truths are self-negating, impractical, and dangerous and show how each religious practice voids another religion. The Opportunity: Millions of people are alienated from modern society and held in a perpetual state of poverty by their religious beliefs.

3. How will this idea positively impact the lives of poor or vulnerable people? (Please be as specific as you can about numbers and geography of people who will be reached.)

Regardless of region, all indigenous people are at the mercy of their traditional forms of survival established many generations before. When the poor and vulnerable are offered an alternative spiritual purpose that promotes life on earth over the unknowable salvation at death it will liberate them from their current disrespect for life and empower them to harvest the certainty of everyday existence.

The number of people living in poverty and eight major belief system's adherent populations:

Poverty: 3 billion

Christianity: 2.1 b.

Islam: 1.3 b.

Secular/Nonreligious: 1.1 b.

Hinduism: 900 million

Chinese traditional: 394 m.

Buddhism: 376 m.

Primal-indigenous: 300 m.

African Traditional: 100 m.

4. Why now?

Because of the Internet, never before in history has there been the ability to convey an idea simultaneously to the world and reach places where before it would take days if not weeks to communicate. At the expense of innocent human life, fabricated conflicts between various religious groups threaten civilized society by allowing false concepts to manipulate the citizens in order to establish dominance in areas that are economically and socially underdeveloped. Religion can be a salvation from despair but not a marketing ploy to generate revenue in order to maintain the institutional structures that have become a burden on the adherents and stagnation on a constantly changing civilized society.

5. What is the measurable impact that could be expected in 3-5 years?

It is the responsibility of civilized society to encourage religious leaders to investigate the validity of their fundamental truth, promote alternative means of survival, and support a more respectful spiritual purpose. With the negation of antiquated spiritual beliefs and the introduction of a credible spiritual purpose, religious leaders will mostly feel the impact. Spiritual truth goes beyond any current major religious understanding of reality. Today's spiritual environment demands a more tolerable truth that can address present conditions where by all humanity can enjoy wellbeing, economic freedom, and the technological benefits of the 21st century without the cost of ones self-worth.
